A long Long time ago…

Well I, David the Founder, was born in the 80s. My first game system was a Nintendo Entertainment System, my first fighting game was Street Fighter II, my first RPG was Final Fantasy VI, and…I love gaming. Nearly 40 years later, I still love it and I love being part of this community. So I decided to follow another passion: building Controllers and Fightsticks.
Now, I would love to tell you that I remember duking it out in the arcades with Super SFII and 3rdStrike, but unfortunately when I was old enough, the arcade culture was quickly dying. I was one of those people who was older enough to see a little, but only old enough to watch it’s last gasps. In fact the experience of seeing the culture disappear meant that I left the genre for quite some time.
I got back into the FGC (after many years away) in 2016 with the release of SFV. I have to say I wasn’t wowed by my first experience, thankfully SFV has improved by leaps and bounds since. With the release of the Arcade Edition in 2018 and the 30th Anniversary Collection, I had gotten the bug again and I loved it. Playing 3rd Strike again was an absolute pleasure and I still play to this day. In SFV I play Blarog and 3rdStrike I play Dudley. Yes, for the eagle eyed I like to Box!
2018 also saw me create my first Fightstick and it wasn't what you would call pretty. I would love to say that I still have it for mementos sake but it was so rough that I eventually threw it out. My second attempt is displayed proudly and as is my third, a hitbox, with the fourth falling victim of building this online store and also some more secret projects which will grace this store as soon as they are ready. I look forward to revisiting and completing it someday.
Making fightsticks is a joy and I want to make it a joy for others as well.
My favourite thing to do is turn the music on my fighting game off. Turn on Spotify on either my PS4 or PC and play Fighting games on a fightstick while rocking to my favourite tunes. Can’t be beat. When I say this, I mean the experience can’t be beat… I can definitely be beat. Sometimes far too quickly.
